As a first-generation Chinese American, I grew up navigating the space between two worlds—serving as a translator between languages and cultures for my family.
Whether filling out paperwork, advocating for them in daily interactions, or navigating educational systems independently, I became deeply attuned to the barriers that make systems inaccessible for those they were meant to serve.
These experiences have shaped my interest in human-centered design and research, focusing on creating digital spaces that are not just functional but focus on empathy, inclusion, and accessibilty.
